de — Eine oktophone – 8.1 – biofeedback Surround-Sound-Performance in Echtzeit über gekoppelte Oszillatoren und biologische Synchronisation. Was haben die Bewegung von Uhren und Elefanten, die Rhythmen von Herzschlägen und der Ausbruch von Chaos gemeinsam? Eine mathematische Theorie von Kuramoto erklärt Zusammenhänge, unter denen unterschiedlichste Personen in Synchronisation geraten. Das Hauptkonzept von AIKYAM basiert auf Forschungsergebnissen, die zeigen, dass auch menschliche Herzschläge synchronisiert werden können, indem wir unsere Wahrnehmung für andere vertiefen. Herzschläge werden über Fingerpuls-Sensoren gemessen. Die an einen Computer übertragenen Daten werden mit Hilfe von Algorithmen in Klang
umgewandelt. Publikum und Klangumgebung sind so miteinander verbunden und voneinander abhängig. Aikyam (Sanskrit: ऐक्यम्) bedeutet Einheit, Einigkeit, Harmonie, Einstimmigkeit, Identität, Gleichheit oder Identität. Claudia Robles-Angel ist eine Komponistin, Performerin und interdisziplinäre Medienkünstlerin.

What do the movement of clocks and elephants, the rhythms of heartbeats and the outbreak of chaos have in common? A mathematical theory by Kuramoto explains the circumstances under which the most diverse persons fall into synchronization. The main concept of AIKYAM is based on research findings that show that human heartbeats can also be synchronized by deepening our perception of others. Heartbeats are measured by using finger pulse sensors. Those data transmitted to a computer is converted into sound with the help of algorithms. Audience and sound environment are thus connected and interdependent. Aikyam (Sanskrit: ऐक्यम्) means – oneness, unity, harmony, unanimity, identity or sameness or identical.
