Aktionspotenziale sind scharfe Spannungsspitzen, die von der Pflanze oder dem Pilz selbst als Reaktion auf Umweltveränderungen oder als Prozesse des Organismus erzeugt werden. Seit mehr als 30 Jahren macht Michael Allen Z Prime Musik mit Pflanzen und Pilzen. Seine Alben „L-Fields“, „One Hour As Peyote“ und „Borneo“ sind die ersten, die die bioelektrischen Felder von Pflanzen und Pilzen als Klangquelle nutzen. Alle Lebewesen haben ein bioelektrisches Feld, das je nach Zustand des Organismus ständig schwankt. Michael macht die Fluktuationen des bioelektrischen Feldes hörbar, indem er zunächst diese kleinen Spannungen verstärkt und dann die verstärkte Spannung zur Steuerung eines Oszillators verwendet. For more than 30 years, Michael Allen Z Prime has been making music with plants and fungi. His albums: ‚L-Fields‘, ‚One Hour As Peyote‘, and ‚Borneo‘, were the first to be made using the bioelectrical fields of plants and fungi as a sound source. All living things have a bioelectrical field, which fluctuates constantly, according to the state of the organism.
