Gerngesehen.de und Moltkerei Werkstatt laden ein zu einem Abend mit Christopher Williams, Kontrabass und Stimme, mit Gegenständen aus dem Alltag und Bezügen auf das ganz normale Leben. Eine Wundertüte teils humorvoll, teils theatralisch, mal solo mal mit Verstärkung. Wenn’s zum Abschluss des Abends auf die Suche nach dem Mythos der 1961 in Köln komponierten Fluxus-Partitur „Variationen für Kontrabass“ von Ben Patterson geht, kommentiert Ben. In Anlehnung an Fluxus wird es auch unangekündigt, überraschendes geben.

A night of a vocalizing contrabassist in an experimental vein and and guests plus bits of delightful fluxus music „Variations for Double-Bass“ (1961), by Ben Patterson, that was actually composed in Köln. Our friday night special has bits of everydays life, bits of humour, bits of theatrical elements and however it may have unforseen surprises.
Christopher Williams is a Barcelona-based composer, bassist, and organizer, born 1981 in San Diego (California). “Williams knows how to create a dialogue with his sonic environment in which he actually manages to say musical things – something few improvisors, outside Lol Coxhill, are rarely capable of.” – Ben Watson, critic and author of „Derek Bailey and the Story of Free Improvisation“.
